Marketing for Beauty Professionals instruction

Overview

Marketing for Beauty Professionals treats the business of the chair as a professional competency — studied with the same rigor the Academy applies to technique.

Instruction moves from positioning and pricing through client communication, retention, and the ethical presentation of professional work.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, graduates will be able to:

  • Define a professional positioning statement grounded in demonstrated skill
  • Establish pricing that reflects expertise, time, and cost of service
  • Build a consultation-to-rebooking sequence that supports retention
  • Present professional work accurately and ethically across channels
  • Evaluate business performance using retention, average ticket, and capacity

Evaluation

Faculty review of a positioning statement, pricing rationale, and retention sequence developed during the course.

The Certificate of Completion is awarded on satisfaction of the Academy’s academic standards, not on attendance alone.

Admissions & Prerequisites

Applicants must hold an active cosmetology or barbering license in good standing, and demonstrate professional standing appropriate to advanced practice.

No prior business coursework is required. Space in each course is limited to preserve the quality of instruction and individual faculty attention.

Faculty

Led by SHINE-certified faculty with a minimum of ten years of professional experience behind the chair, selected for technical mastery, professional teaching experience, and demonstrated commitment to the standards of the Academy. Full faculty biographies will be published as instructors are confirmed for each course.

Credentialing

Graduates receive a Vivid Hue Academy Certificate of Completion in Marketing for Beauty Professionals, recognizing advanced professional training.

Continuing education credit hours, where applicable to state licensing requirements, will be listed on this page upon confirmation.

Academic Philosophy

Vivid Hue Academy approaches professional beauty education as a discipline, not a trend. Our curriculum is built on the belief that mastery develops through the deliberate integration of technique, theory, and practice — not repetition alone. Each course is structured to move professionals through guided demonstration, applied practice, and critical evaluation, ensuring that graduates leave not only able to perform a technique, but able to explain the reasoning behind every decision made behind the chair.

Course of Study

Courses are designated Foundational, Advanced, or Mastery. Designation reflects the depth of prior practice a course assumes, not the seniority of the professional enrolled.
