Technology in the Salon treats the tools of a practice — booking platforms, client records, digital consultation, and emerging software — as professional infrastructure rather than convenience.
Instruction moves from workflow design and record-keeping through digital consultation practice, client data stewardship, and the disciplined evaluation of new tools before they touch the chair.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, graduates will be able to:
- Design a booking and scheduling workflow that protects capacity and reduces attrition
- Maintain accurate service and formulation records across a client history

Evaluation
Faculty review of a workflow and records plan for the participant's own practice, evaluated against professional data standards.
The Certificate of Completion is awarded on satisfaction of the Academy’s academic standards, not on attendance alone.

Who Should Attend
Licensed professionals, suite owners, and salon leaders responsible for the systems that carry a practice day to day.
Admissions & Prerequisites
Applicants must hold an active cosmetology or barbering license in good standing, and demonstrate professional standing appropriate to advanced practice.
No prior technical background is required. Space in each course is limited to preserve the quality of instruction and individual faculty attention.
Faculty
Led by SHINE-certified faculty with a minimum of ten years of professional experience behind the chair, selected for technical mastery, professional teaching experience, and demonstrated commitment to the standards of the Academy. Full faculty biographies will be published as instructors are confirmed for each course.
Credentialing
Graduates receive a Vivid Hue Academy Certificate of Completion in Technology in the Salon, recognizing advanced professional training.
Continuing education credit hours, where applicable to state licensing requirements, will be listed on this page upon confirmation.

Vivid Hue Academy approaches professional beauty education as a discipline, not a trend.
