Trichological Foundations
FoundationalOne DayScalp & Hair Health
In one focused day, establish the clinical literacy behind sound practice — assessment, condition recognition, and the judgment to refer.
For licensed professionals at any stage; foundational to every technical discipline the Academy teaches.

Overview
Scalp & Hair Health establishes the clinical literacy behind sound professional practice: what the scalp is communicating, and what falls inside the scope of licensure.
Instruction moves from visual and tactile assessment through condition recognition, in-salon care protocols, and the professional judgment to refer when appropriate.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion, graduates will be able to:
- Perform a structured scalp and hair assessment as part of consultation
- Recognize common scalp conditions and distinguish them from service-related irritation
- Determine when a condition falls outside scope of practice and warrants medical referral
- Recommend in-salon and at-home protocols supported by professional evidence
- Document findings and outcomes across a course of care
Evaluation
Faculty evaluation of structured scalp assessment, condition recognition, and correct determination of scope of practice and referral.
The Certificate of Completion is awarded on satisfaction of the Academy’s academic standards, not on attendance alone.

Full faculty biographies will be published as instructors are confirmed for each course.
Credentialing
Graduates receive a Vivid Hue Academy Certificate of Completion in Scalp & Hair Health, recognizing advanced professional training.
Continuing education credit hours, where applicable to state licensing requirements, will be listed on this page upon confirmation.
Academic Philosophy
Vivid Hue Academy approaches professional beauty education as a discipline, not a trend. Our curriculum is built on the belief that mastery develops through the deliberate integration of technique, theory, and practice — not repetition alone. Each course is structured to move professionals through guided demonstration, applied practice, and critical evaluation, ensuring that graduates leave not only able to perform a technique, but able to explain the reasoning behind every decision made behind the chair.
Course of Study
Courses are designated Foundational, Advanced, or Mastery. Designation reflects the depth of prior practice a course assumes, not the seniority of the professional enrolled.
